Government Law college Tiruchirapalli is located in Tamil Nadu India and its journey was started in 1979 providing legal education. This affiliated college situated in Race Course Road, Khajamali Tiruchirapalli occupies a very vast area of 13 acres. Student at the college must have obtained their BCI Bar Council of India, The College itself has been producing qualitative legal minds for over forty years.

It has 1,393 students at the current time and has a faculty size of 23; this makes it provide specialised learning environment. The college provides three full-time law programmes: BA LLB, LLB, and LLM to provide education to the legal aspirants at different levels of the education system. Government Law college has many academic facilities to improve students’ learning process as a part of the college.

Any academic facility is based on a library which stores books, reports, projects, periodicals, and journals as well as other resources necessary for successful students’ activity. For the purpose of practice, the college provides a moot court which prepares students about actual courtroom experience required for their future practices.

It also has an auditorium for occasions such as seminars and also boosts academic activities on the campus. Sports facilities were provided to maintain the right proportions of education. Founded and managed by the college, students have an opportunity to pay for a female hostel with security and a mess.

A school canteen is also available within the compound to meet the eating requirements of the members of staff as well as students. As a focused law college, Government Law College, Tiruchirapalli provides learning with three full-time courses in law. It refers to academic degree programmes intended to meet various educational requirements and occupational interests in the legal profession.

The BA LLB is the 5 year integrated programme and is a part of arts and law streams. The LLB is a three-year programme of study for students who completed their previous degree in other fields with an intention to practice law. Apart from its popular five-year programme, the college provides an LLM programme which takes two years.

All these courses are offered in full time manner which means that in these courses student gets intense and comprehensive education in laws. The admission of students at Government Law College, Tiruchirapalli is strictly on merit basis and the admission board is through counselling. For the five years integrated BA LLB programme and the three years LLB programme, admission are strictly on merit.
