Government Leather Institute, Agra

Government Leather Institute Agra, located in the Historical City of Mughal Emperors, was established in 1962. Government Leather Institute Agra was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. GLI Agra initially provided training in two branches of technology (Diploma in Leather Technology and Diploma in Footwear & Leather Goods Technology).

Currently, GLI Agra offers three specialisation courses at the diploma level. These include Diploma in Leather Technology (Tanning) , Diploma in Leather Technology Footwear (Computer Aided Shoe Design) and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering . Admissions are offered based on the entrance examination. Candidates should appear in the JEECUP entrance exam for diploma admissions.

Government Leather Institute Agra is affiliated to the Board of Technical Education Lucknow. Government Leather Institute Agra has a Placement Cell which provides job opportunities and placement-related guidance to its students.
