Government Medical College, Buldhana

Government Medical College, Buldhana is a newly established medical institution set up by the Government of Maharashtra. Government Medical College, Buldhana was inaugurated on July 14, 2023, and received approval from the National Medical Commission to admit 100 MBBS students annually, starting from the 2024–25 academic year.

Government Medical College, Buldhana is located at the District Women Hospital, TB Hospital Campus, Dhad Road, Buldhana, Maharashtra – 443001. Its location provides easy access to healthcare facilities and a supportive environment for medical education.

Government Medical College, Buldhana is affiliated with the college Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is governed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) under the Medical Education and Drugs Department of the Government of Maharashtra. The college is attached to two hospitals: District Civil Hospital Buldhana and District Women Hospital Buldhana.

Together, these hospitals have a total of 420 beds, offers students ample clinical exposure and hands-on experience in patient care. Government Medical College, Buldhana offers a 4. 5-year MBBS programme followed by a 1-year compulsory internship. The annual intake for the MBBS course is 100 students. The fee structure for the MBBS program is approximately ₹60,000 – ₹70,000 per annum for government seats.

Hostel fees are around ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per year, with additional miscellaneous charges of ₹5,000 – ₹10,000. A refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 is also required. Admissions are based on NEET-UG scores. Candidates must participate in the Maharashtra NEET UG Counseling conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
