Government Medical College, Gadchiroli

Government Medical College, Gadchiroli (GMC Gadchiroli) is a government-run medical institution established in 2024. It is located in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, India. The college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The total course fee for the entire MBBS program is approximately ₹7. 06–7. 07 lakhs. The Maharashtra government has approved a project worth ₹471. 41 crore to construct a dedicated medical college and a 430-bed hospital in Gadchiroli. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare and educational facilities in the region.

The new campus will be located on a 43-acre plot near the Agriculture College on Chandrapur Road and is expected to be operational within 2–3 years. Government Medical College, Gadchiroli (GMC Gadchiroli) has faced unfortunate incidents in the past, including the drowning of three MBBS students in the Wainganga river, which raised concerns about student safety.
