Government Medical College, Kallakurichi

Starting from the academic year 2021-2022, there is a new entrant in the Tamil Nadu medical college fraternity named Government Medical College, Kallakurichi. This affiliated college was founded in Siruvangur Village, Kallakurichi, which is acknowledged by the National Medical Commission (NMC), so it follows all the medical colleges norm of India.

It’s a government institution which provides medical education to potential doctors at comparatively lower costs. The college is relatively young and aims to offer quality medical education that will enable it to respond to the increasing healthcare demands in the region. It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr M. G. R. Medical University , Chennai and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The college offers an MBBS degree programme with an annual intake of 150 students.
