Government PG College, Bina

Government PG College, Bina (GPGCB) is an existing college situated at Bina, District : Sagar, Madhya Pradesh – India. The college was established in 1964 and it is a co-educational institution to which it is currently providing its services for nearly six consecutive years. Located close to the Telephone Exchange, the college offers sufficient area of 25 acres comprising of area for both studying and recreation.

GPGCB is an affiliated college and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With a general student population of 2,774 students and faculty strength of 17, the college has forty different courses in eight degrees offering, which clusters students under different fields of study and enables them to pursue their course of choice in terms of career paths.

Government PG College, Bina is affiliated with the college Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University, Chhatarpur. Government PG College strives to prepare a favourable learning environment inclusive of modem facilities to enhance student’s performance and development.

Traditionally acting as a guiding centre of academic materials, the library possesses a vast variety of books and bound periodical, estimated at approximately 36000. All necessary and proper equipment have been installed at GPGCB for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany Computer Science Laboratory where students can engage themselves for practical knowledge in science and technical field.

The computer laboratory in specific is equipped with 22 computer systems along with BSNL, JIO connectively along with Wi-Fi for computerised learning as well as research work. Besides academics, GPGCB provides plethora of facilities students necessitate for their all-around development. The college has provided an auditorium for events and seminars as well as offering a lively active college atmosphere.

An eating hall grills food for students and members of staff; a gymnasium enables students to exercise under the supervision of a sports officer. The college also has sports grounds and a separate sport fund and populates students to take part in sports activities. The enrolment is both male and female students and they get hostel facilities for their stay especially those coming from distant places.

Some of the other facilities provided in the complex include health that houses treated water, first aid and treatment facilities for students who develop some complications, bikestands for parking of bicycles hired by students, smart classes which include projectors and internet connection with the relevant learning materials.

GPGCB provides a large number of courses, both, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a variety of fields. There are 30 courses offered in the college, few of them are B. om. , B. Sc (Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Zoology, Computer Applications, Industrial Chemistry, Maths, Physics), BA , BBA, BCA , M. Com. , M.

Sc (Industrial Chemistry, Botany, Zoology Maths, Chemistry), MA (History, Political Science , Economics). It prepares students in a diverse range of fields to meet the market demands to enable them to select programmes suited to their visions. Government PG College, Bina, has clearly defined some of the central principles of functioning, including admission policy and criteria.

The college may further consider marks scored in relevant entrance tests for some of the courses.
