Government Polytechnic, Chopan

Government Polytechnic, Chopan, was established in the year 2016. It is a technical college in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. This is an institute affiliated with the government and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE); the institute provides diplomas in different fields of engineering.

As mentioned earlier, the student enrolment is 526 and the faculty strength is 19 only, which gives it a selective environment for the engineers. Government Polytechnic at Chopan currently provides three three-year full-time diploma programmes: mechanical engineering automobile, computer science & engineering, and electronics engineering.

The objectives of the institute are to offer professional education and training to its students. Government Polytechnic, Chopan, has provided a number of facilities that are helpful to improve the learning process. The college in particular possesses a highly charged library inter TA where students can find many educational and reference materials.

Also present is a separate departmental laboratory that is well equipped with necessary tools and equipment to enable the students to practice their area of specialty. Understanding the significance of employing the use of technology in current college education, the college has also provided optimum IT facilities to avail the best technologies useful to students in their studies.

Government Polytechnic Chopan has currently offered three diploma programmes all of which are full-time in nature. These programmes offer every aspect of engineering to ensure that students get a feel of the path they feel will suffice their dent. The institute can take 180 students in total, where all courses are divided in terms of admission quotas of 60 students per course.

This is a relatively small group, which enables students to get an individual approach and enhance the communication between students and faculty members.
