04 acre land the polytechnic has total intake capacity of 220 students and a teaching and non-teaching staff of 10 faculty members. The institute offers five diploma courses all of which are full time.

Government Polytechnic College, Gajendragad offers the mechanical, civil, computer science, electronics and communication engineering technology, automobile engineering to fulfil the demand for technical skilful technician and engineers in the field. A modern Library is also adequately equipped and contains numerous books which makes its major function being serving as a centre for learning .

Another strength established by the Government Polytechnic is good and sound IT equipment; the use of reasonably good IT equipment boosts students’ studies. Departments laboratories are essential as they allow practical sessions crucial in disciplining an engineer which would otherwise only deal with theories.
