Government Polytechnic Godhra, one of the valued centres of quality education in the field of Engineering education, was established in 2005. Government Polytechnic Godhra is spread across 15 acres of land. Government Polytechnic Godhra is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering programme is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.

Government Polytechnic Godhra offers admissions to various specialisation courses at the diploma level. The specialisations offered in the diploma include Diploma in Civil Engineering , Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering . Government Polytechnic Godhra has a Placement Cell. Around 72 students passed out in 2024 placements, and out of 72students who passed out, around 39 students got placed. In 2023 placements, around 55 students were placed out of 89 passed out students. Whereas, according to the 2022 placement statistics, 61 students got placed out of 103 students who passed out.
