Government Polytechnic, Kullu

Government Polytechnic Kullu is a affiliated college coming up in Seobag, Kullu in district of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh and it was started in 2013. This technical institution chartered and approved by AICTE offers diploma courses in different disciplines of engineering. The polytechnic is located in a 5 acre area and it occupies a total student strength of 406 and employs 13 faculties.

The institute offers three full time diploma programmes all of which are of three years duration in Electrical Engineering , Civil Engineering & Automobile Engineering . The polytechnic has provided infrastructural facilities in its education system to help the students.

This campus has a well stocked library which connects students to books, journals and magazines, it also operates a book bank which helps the poor students to purchase books. Incorporation of computer center connecting 45 computers and available internet speed is 4 Mbps for the purpose of learning. It also has a girls hostel which enables the female students to secure, comfortable and hygienic accommodation.

Other facilities include a sick bay, a playground, well-equipped kitchens, a dining hall that can sit 100 persons and a seminar room which can hold 150 persons. WiFi has been extended to all areas within the campus with free access to both students and members of staff. Government Polytechnic, Kullu, has in total three diploma courses which are only of full time duration.

These courses are intended for different branches of engineering, so students get multiple choices to continue their technical training. The institute has an approved Intake capacity of 180 students for all the courses offered and each course is provided for 60 students. this means that all students enrolled undergo concentrated attention and quality educational services are provided.
