Government Polytechnic, Paonta Sahib

Government polytechnic paonta sahib a technical college was started from 2013 the college is located in dhaulakuan of sirmour district of himachal pradesh. This affiliated college approved in All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE, offers diploma in differnt branches of engineering. Located /on an extensive area of 11. 66 acres, the institute now offers seats for total 339 students and 9 faculties.

Government Polytechnic, Paonta Sahib strives to offer standard technical education and produce proficient engineers needed in this world. The institute has a variety of facilities that facilitate learning and the training of its students. The building has provided fully equipped laboratory for each department to enable practical session for the students to practice.

:A computerized library with over 1,324 books with 200 book title isumes, newspapers, magazines, dailies and reference books are also available in the school. The reading room is designed to contain up to 80 student where they can effectively read and search for information.

For the computerization of the institute the following facilities are available an air conditioned computer center with internet facility, updated desktop system, LAN connection and internet with a bandwidth of 2 Mbps. In the area of co-curriculum, the college provides sport facilities and canteen for students and college staff.

The institute has also functional accommodation differently for male and female students have been provided so that the out-station students can comfortably reside in the hostels. Government Polytechnic, Paonta Sahib has diploma courses lasting for three years and offer four full time diploma courses .

Some of these programs include; Diploma in Computer Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering and Electrical Engineering . The admitting capacity at the institute has been approved to enroll 240 students and each course offered will admit 60 students.
