Government Polytechnic of Yadagirigutta started in 2008 affiliated with rashtrasetha of Osmania University located in Nalgonda district of Telangana state. This institution is recognised by the AICTE and delivers technical education on its 6. 65 acre campus. What the college offers is a concentrated learning setting with a total enrolment of 306 students and with 15 faculty.

As of now, Government Polytechnic, Yadagirigutta offers two diploma programs in the field of engineering, for the students who want to built their career in technical field. The institute's focus on engineering is evident in its course offerings: one is Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and other one is Diploma in Mechanical Engineering . Each program was approved for 60 students intake making the total number of seats equaled to 120.
