Government Womens Polytechnic, Gulbarga

Government Women’s Polytechnic, Gulbarga, was setup in the year 1999 at Kalaburagi, Karnataka is affiliated college. This is a women-only college accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education As well as having diploma courses in various technical disciplines. The polytechnic is located on a 2. 5 acre piece of land currently boasting a student population of 116 and faculty of 15 members.

At present, the institute offer four diploma courses which are fully residential course required for aspiring female technician in the region. The polytechnic supports its students with various amenities required in making them academic champions. An example of a complex, which needs an access to a wealth of information and learning, is a well-equipped library.

The institution has equipped each department with contemporary laboratories to allow students practical work. A good IT supports computer aided teaching and learning and ensures that the learner is up to date with any developments in the field. As for the students’ physical health, there are sports facilities on the territory of such institutions.

A very important facility within the school is the cafeteria that comes supplemented with special diets for the personnel and learners. Interestingly, the college provides a girls’ hostel; a safe house for female students who learn from distant areas and helps them to afford technical education regardless of their gender across northern Tanzania.

Government Women’s Polytechnic, Gulbarga is an institute which provides four diploma courses that are all of full time. The courses are Electronics and Communication , Computer Science, Commercial Practice , Apparel Design. These courses are offered across various disciplining in engineering, as well as in commerce and business, for the female technicians, there is great variety to choose from.

The total approved intake of the entire courses offered is 180 which clearly show the capacity of the institute to produce a number of professionals every year. It may follow the admission policy of admitting students as a government institution provided by the state technical education board.
