Gunwant Rao Deshmukh College of Education, Pusad, was started in 2005 and presently it is a self financing institution that is exclusively involved in the teacher education. Situated in Yavatmal city of the state Maharashtra, this is a co-educational institution spread over an area of 1. 75 acres.

The college is affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to provide the educational program up to the mark. The college has a maximum strength of 80 students and faculty of 9, which provides an extended classroom concept. The institute offers two professional teaching specialty programmes for prospective educators at two different levels.

Gunwant Rao Deshmukh College of Education at present offers two courses in the field of education. The B. Ed has an approved seating capacity of one hundred 100 and the D. El. Ed course is also offered.
