HD College of Education was established in the year 2007 in the city of Salhawas, Jhajjar, Haryana. The college is co-educational and runs an affiliated college that is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The campus is spread over an area of 4. 33 acres, which provides a clean and healthy atmosphere for learning and growth.
With a total enrolment of 200 students and a faculty strength of 8 members, HD College of Education takes special care of the students with individual attention. The facilities offered by the college include ample provisions for enhancing the learning processes of the students. Many laboratories are well equipped, covering subjects on physical science, life science, and psychology.
The Physical Science laboratory is well fitted with essential equipment and chemicals to perform practical experiments. The Life Science laboratory is more or less the same size as the previous, and it is well furnished with microscopes, preserved specimens, and 3-D models. The Psychology laboratory is equipped with standard apparatus for the purpose of educational psychology experiments.
Apart from this, special laboratories for Educational Technology, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Craft, Home Science, and ICT are also available. It possesses 17 personal computers furnished with the internet facility for the students to enter the digital world.
Other amenities available on the residence include a library, sports facilities, a canteen, a guest room, an auditorium, a gym, and a health centre with the first aid unit in it. HD College of Education currently conducts one full-time course, which is in the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed. ) program.
This program has been designed for two years and is an approved intake of 100 students per year, therefore depicting the extent to which the institute is concerned with ensuring quality education with manageable class sizes. The course structure has been designed so that the students can be imparted with knowledge and skills associated with the profession of teaching.
The system of seat allocation is basically dependent on the students' college preference and their merit in their last qualifying examination.
