IEM College of Pharmacy, Barabanki

IEM College of Pharmacy at Barabanki was established in the year 2019 making it one among the latest entrants in the stream of providing pharmaceutical education in India. It is the affiliated college of this state, Uttar Pradesh, to teach the potions of pharmaceutical science, which has found its niche fairly recently.

Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, the institute is located on a 2 acre land so as to offer an appropriate learning atmosphere. Pharmacy education at IEM College of Pharmacy is delivered by a team of 7 qualified teaching staff to produce future pharmacists.

The institute currently teaches only one specialised course which emphasises its clear direction in the pharmaceutical industry. IEM College of Pharmacy houses several facilities that are equip for working in a modern environment to facilitate the learning ability of the student. There is provision of independent accommodation of hostel facilities to accommodate the outstation students of both genders.

A library greatly resourced handles students’ e-books/journals requirements and links them to the corporate world. Being a college that offers marketable programmes the school has adequate laboratories that exposes students to practical experience they will need in their profession. Sports’ facilities for recreation and overall development are located on campus but the options are limited.

In addition, the institute avails transport services so that students and all faculty members can be ferried from one place to another. A multipurpose auditorium is available in the college compound for occasions and seminars making the college to encompass an active student community.

Most significantly for the ongoing modern society focused on the use of the internet, the whole compound is spoil with Wi-Fi, to ensure student connectivity and ease of accessing online materials. At present, IEM College of Pharmacy offers one full-time course; one such professional course is the Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma).

This two year programme capable enrolment is 60 students thus show our intent as an institute on maintaining good student to faculty ratio. Although the college has so far limited itself to this diploma programme, its establishment was only in 2019, hence maybe show signs of growth and adding on to the variety of courses in future. D.

Pharma is the course designed specifically to give students sufficient knowledge and practice to fit into almost any sector within health care especially the pharmaceutical fields.
