IIMT College of Education, Meerut, is one of the front-runners of the year 1994, following the ideal of shaping future education with a vision. The co-educational college in Meerut offers a range of courses in the education domain.

IIMT College of Education is a college affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education, which is in the process of educating and training prospective teachers for nearly thirty years. This institute maintains a faculty strength of 30, which in turn assures the infusion of methods that are sure to deliver quality education and provide guidance to students.

Operating four courses with an emphasis on full-time courses, IIMT College of Education provides for different categories of the teaching profession: B. Ed , M. Ed, D. El. Ed , and B. P. Ed. IIMT College of Education offers a host of facilities to students for encouraging their learning and overall development.

Fully established hostels are available for both girls and boys, with a capacity to accommodate nearly 3,000 students in twin-sharing rooms. Each of the hostels comes with dining rooms, indoor games, and Wi-Fi connectivity. IIMT College of Education provides a total of four courses, of which all are full-time programmes. These are Bachelor of Education, B. Ed; Master of Education , M. Ed; Diploma in Elementary Education, D. El. Ed; and Bachelor of Physical Education , B. P.

Ed. The total intake of the college in D. El. Ed, M. Ed, and B. P. Ed programmes taken together is 175. This mix of courses provides admission from the several range of education, including elementary teaching to physical education, in which students benefit from multiple career paths promised in the education field. Ed. is made on the basis of merit, till state government/university norms, based on marks of the candidates obtained in the entrance examination or qualifying examination. Admission to the M. Ed. course is done on the basis of merit; it may be followed by a group discussion or a personal interview.

Admissions to D. El. Ed. will be made at the Government of Uttar Pradesh level through online applications, which will be followed by district-level selection based on merit. The admission process for any course is quite comprehensive, which involves a written test followed by a fitness test, interview, and consideration of qualifying examination.

The college practices all admission policies made or formulated by Government of State and affiliating University and the merit is determined by fair and standardised ways.
