Immanuel College, Dimapur

Immanuel College Dimapur was established in 1994, affiliated to the Nagaland University located at Lingrijan, Dimapur, Nagaland. Situated over a 2 acre campus this institution provides a number of opportunities for education with a total of 12 courses offered over 5 different degree programs.

The college has received recognition from National Assessment and Accreditation Council – NAAC which strongly underlines the quality the college delivers.

Immanuel College currently has a total number of student enrollment of 588 students and thirty five teaching and non teaching staff, in accordance with the effectiveness of large institutions, it has a small student to academic ratio to ensure that students get special attention within the education facilities they find themselves in.

Immanuel College Dimapur has a variety of facilities that seek to improve on a student’s learning. The library which is a molto important academic facility offers a good collection of Books, Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers for Science and Arts streams. It affords a favorable atmosphere for study under the attendant of a professional librarian.

Regarding practical needs for science students, well-equipped laboratories accompanied by fine laboratory assistants seem to fit the need. It also attaches great importance to technological applications in teaching and learning resources, the college thereby has a computer laboratory powered by a 7. 5 KVA online UPS. Immanuel College has 12 courses to its name and all the programs are full time.

These consist of under graduate programs offered in Arts and Science faculties, and masters in English. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees with honors are offered by the college in areas including Economics , Political Science, History , Education and English . It provides the B. Sc programs with honors in the science stream including Botany , Chemistry, Zoology and Geology.

Also, it also offered a new postgraduate program of study in the current academic year, namely the master of arts in English. The admission of students in Immanuel College is done based on merit which is an indication of the colleges desire to deliver quality education. It also ensures that any deserving needy and qualified candidate be given the chance to continue with his or her desired fields of studies.

Holders of a good Bachelor’s degree are therefore encouraged to apply make an application to understudy for the postgraduate program in English and admission is also done on merit but the merit may be different from that of the undergraduate.
