IIT Tirupati scholarship includes Merit-cum-scholarship, Institute free studentship, Institute SC/ST scholarship, and many other scholarships are offered by the institute that supports financial needs of the students. The college offers many scholarships to meritorious and needy aspirants. IIT Tirupati scholarships are offered separately for B. Tech, M. Sc. , M. Tech, M. S and Ph. D students.
Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Institute Free Studentship and SC/ST Scholarship are B. Tech programme scholarships. To avail these scholarships, candidates’ annual family income should be up to Rs. 4. 5 lakhs. Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati scholarships for M. Sc. programmes are Merit Scholarship, Free Studentship and 50% Free Studentship.
These scholarships are provided on the basis of the performance of candidates in every semester, except 50% free studentship, where in addition to the performance of the candidates annual family income is also considered. The annual family income should be up to Rs. 4. 5 lakhs. For M. Tech programme students, HTTA, that is, Half Time Teaching Assistance is offered.
Under this scheme, the IIT Tirupati scholarship amount, Rs. 12,400 per month is awarded to those students, who are admitted to the M. Tech programme. The institute also offers fellowships to M. S. and Ph. D. programme students. For candidates admitted to M. S. programme, Rs. 12,400 per month and for Ph. D programme students, Rs. 31,000 per month is awarded.
