Indian Maritime University, Navi Mumbai Campus is a Central University, which was known as T. S. Chanakya. The university was established by an Act of Parliament in the year 2008 to foster and facilitate maritime studies and research of global standards. After the inspection of the University, all the Government of India institutes of nautical and marine engineering sector became a part of this university.
