Indraprastha College of Education and Technology, Baghpat

Indraprastha College of Education and Technology at Singhawli Ahir, Baghpat, U. P. is an affiliated college started in 2001. This is a co-educative institution that has been recognised and accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Set out over an area of only 5. 956 acres, the college presently boasts a total strength of 138 students and is staffed by 16 faculty members.

IEN currently has only one degree programme with the main concentration in the preparation of skilled personnel, especially in the area of education. This is reflected by the variety of facilities available at the college; these are meant to supplement the learning process of the students.

The elements of IT structure are a computer laboratory with the Pentium 4 (15 sets), connecting to high-speed Internet and a wireless connection. It is a promised play place that contains more than 5000 books for academic purposes. In regard to bodily health and physical fitness, Indraprastha College of Education and Technology provides sports facilities and a gym.

This facility includes an auditorium for seminars and other functions accompanied by ample laboratory and workshop facilities complying with the NCTE guidelines, a health complex equipped with first aid facilities, a canteen, and several guest rooms for other faculty and students’ families. The college is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Indraprastha College of Education and Technology currently offers one full-time course. The awards are named after the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ) programme.
