To conduct research of high standard in the field of Mental health, Neurosciences and Behavioural sciences and to provide high-quality super speciality health care using state-of-the-art technology in Mental health, Neurosciences, Behavioural and Allied sciences this Institute was established.

The streams in which the courses offered are medicine and allied sciences. Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, Delhi also called IHBAS Delhi courses are M. D Psychiatry , D. M Neurology and M. Phil Clinical Psychology .

Admission into MD Psychiatry is given based on valid NEET PG scores whereas IHBAS Delhi admission into DM Neurology and MPhil in Clinical Psychology is provided based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the institute. IHBAS Delhi cut-off should be met by the students before applying.
