Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research For Girls, Pune

Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research for Girls, Pune, was established in 2018 as a women's college in the specialised field. The institute is located in Swami-Chincholi, Bhigwan, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated with granting pharmaceutical education to female students. It is approved by PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) and AICTE.

The institute has its campus on 30 acres, and two pharmaceutical courses take in a total enrolment of 298 students. At the present faculty strength of 38, IPSR maintains the desirable student-to-teacher ratio. A favourable environment has been created to enable learning for these aspiring pharmacists. IPSR has almost all the facilities to enrich the learning experience of the students.

The institute provides different hostels for boys and girls; therefore, living conditions are quite comfortable. A well-equipped library, supplemented with up-to-date laboratories for hands-on learning, provides for systemic knowledge acquisition. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled to provide easy access to digital resources.

Extracurricular facilities at IPSR include sports grounds and an auditorium for guest lectures and seminars. A cafeteria takes care of the food needs of the students and staff, besides a health centre with first aid facilities maintaining the health of the campus's armory. The institute also has an alumni association, which helps create a very strong network among past and present students.

The academic courses concerned have two full-time programmes within the pharmaceutical domain. The 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) with 100 seats and the 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy ( D. Pharma ) with 60 seats are offered by the institute. These programmes are designed to prepare students for comprehensive pharmaceutical sciences knowledge and skills.

The institute plans for a total enrolment of 160 students per academic year for both courses, in its reflection of the route to quality education with small class sizes.
