Institute of Pharmacy and Technology in Salipur is an independent and self-financed institution for pharmacy. The institute was established in 1982. The institute is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). Furthermore, IPT Salipur is affiliated with Odisha University of Health Sciences, Bhubaneshwar (OUHS). In addition to this, the institute is accredited by NAAC.

The institute offers pharmacy courses at diploma , undergraduate and-post graduate levels. The college offers Diploma, B. Pharma and M. Pharma courses. M. Pharma is available in varied specialisations like pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, and pharmaceutics. The admissions to these courses are based on the entrance examinations like OJEE /NEET/ GPAT conducted by the government or the institution.
