Ishan Institute of Architecture and Planning, Greater Noida

Ishan Institute of Architecture and Planning was established in the year 2013 as an affiliated college in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This is a fairly young institution with a focus on architectural education; it has only one degree programme : Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch).

The institute is located in Knowledge Park 1, the hub of all the educational institutions that are coming up in fast-growing Greater Noida. Various facilities are provided in the institute to support students through their course. Among such resource hubs is its library, the credits of which go to its comprehensive collection of architectural literature and reference materials.

It has sports facilities to develop a healthy work-life balance for those students who have a propensity towards physical activities. Similarly, the very good IT infrastructure of the college ensures that students work on the latest technology and software relevant to modern architectural design processes.

The auditorium on campus hosts a lot of events, seminars, and other presentations that help in the extracurricular development and professional growth of the students. Ishan Institute of Architecture and Planning offers only one full-time course—the five-year B. Arch program. This perhaps would help the institute concentrate its resources and expertise in effectively delivering quality education in architecture.

The program in B. Arch. is oriented toward the general understanding of the principles of architecture, techniques of design, and the skills required in practice. The admission procedure to the Ishan Institute of Architecture and Planning is based on the general lines of admission followed by various B. Arch Courses in India.

A student is normally required to clear the National Aptitude Test in Architecture or JEE Paper 2 for Architecture. These tests are meant for evaluating the candidate's aptitude towards architectural studies. Ishan Institute of Architecture and Planning is surely on its way to getting recognised as a premier Architectural Education Institution in the National Capital Region.
