Jain AGM Institute of Technology, Jamkhandi (JAGMIT) therefore is an institute young in terms of attainment of educational status with a founding year of 2014. The BE programmes of total student intake of 170 are provided by the institute in three specialisations.

The admission procedure at Jain AGM Institute of Technology is mainly affiliated with the KCET – Karnataka Common Entrance Test. For UG admissions, candidates have to take the KCET, the chief entrance test for the admission to engineering colleges in Karnataka. The institute has centralised admission policy where admissions are conducted based on the norms mentioned in the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) norms.
