Jain College, Vasavi Road, Bangalore, was started in the academic year 2011 and is a self financed college located in Bangalore city. It is a co-education affiliated college which provides Commerce, Management, Economics undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Located on an area of 2. 2 acres, the college enroled 1,432 students in total and has a strong and devoted staff of 44 teachers.

With its vision towards delivering quality education and developing favourable atmosphere for those learners who seek higher education in different fields, Jain College comes forward with several facilities. Jain College boasts of offering a number of resources and amenities that fit college going students.

The adequately equipped library is a fundamental tool of education and contributes to the storage of the material and informational base necessary for the students’ scientific activities. In case of a need for a bite or place to interact with colleagues, a college cafeteria is also open.

Another facility is an extraordinary IT facility that lets learners benefit from the best technology available for their coursework at Jain College. Facilities of the institution include laboratory facilities for practical learning, and sports facilities to complement the physical aspect of the students.

Jain College provides six courses in all five degrees, and all these courses are full time.

Among the course, various teaching programmes available are both undergraduate and postgraduate with specialsation in various fields. At the undergraduate level, it offer programmes which include B. Com , B. Com (Hons. ), BBA and BBA in Aviation Management. For the learners who desire to advance to a higher level of education, the college provide M. Com and MA in Economics for post graduate learners.

As these programmes are meant to prepare students for their careers. These programmes provide the studens with knowledge and skills that would be needed in their respective fields. The current student population is 1,432 students, there is the presence of a considerable number of teaching and learning space throughout the offered courses.

Jain College selects its students who undergo a strict admission procedure and operates on a merit basis. For the undergraduate programmes such as B. Com, B. Com (Hons), BBA, BBA in Aviation Management, the candidates are expected to fulfill the 12th Board or 2nd PUC or any other equivalent examination accepted by the UGC.

The college itself has a minimum cut off percentage that it uses and this is different for each programme and the students are informed of this during their Jain Entrance Test commonly abbreviated as JET . This is because the institution wishes to make sure that all the students admitted fully meet the required academic standards.
