Jawahar Bharathi Educational located at Malappuram, Kerala, India was founded in the year 2004 as a single branch institute. It is a NCTE recognised institution in Teacher Education and provides Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). The college is located on a small plot of 5. 54 acres at present and has an enrolment that has 190 students and is staffed by 6 faculty members.

The institute consists of several amenities aimed at improving the readiness of the learning process for its students. Far from just being a place to borrow books, the library is a learning resource center, giving students mostly educational materials, as well as a favorable environment in which to study. There are several facilities in the college that is of course important to the student.

The college provides hostel facilities for the female students to live comfortably. Jawahar Bharathi Educational, Malappuram is affiliated to the cluster university, it offers only one course, namely D. El. Ed which is a two years full time course. It also avails the institute an opportunity to focus on educating the future elementary school teachers from other educators’ perspective.

Candidates seeking admission in Jawahar Bharathi Educational have to qualify the Test of Intelligence and Achievement (TIA) conducted by the college with reference to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination.
