Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Ganj Basoda

The college of more recent creation is Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Ganj Basoda, an affiliated college established in 1989 and located in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. This institution which is located in a 5 acre land aims at offering quality education in teaching arena. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college offers two full-time courses: B. Ed and D. El. Ed.

A total of 191 students enrolment and faculty of 19 make up a good student teacher ratio. There are many courses in the institution that makes it clear that it has a noble cause of providing education and the facility is well endowed with modern equipments.

Ed is a two year full time course the college has sanctioned strength of 100 students. The second kind of diploma program is the Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed), which is also a two year full-time program for 50 students. Admission in Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Mahavidyalaya is purely on merit basis by Marks secured in the last examination and/or any entrance test if held.

Academic admission to the college is based on norms laid by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh and the affiliated university. In case of B. Ed program, the candidates will be selected on the merit of the qualifying examination, entrance examination/centralised counseling, or any other procedure as being followed by the state government and the University from time to time.
