JJR College of Education, Visakhapatnam

JJR College of Education was established in the year 2016, located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The college is a co-educational affiliated college approved through the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), ensuring quality in teacher education. The college is set in a mini 3-acre campus and offers two full-time courses with a total student enrolment of 100.

The 12 strong, dedicated faculty members of JJR College of Education maintain a healthy student-to-teacher ratio that allows a prospective teacher to be nurtured in a friendly environment. The college has a number of facilities for the students.

JJR College of Education has a really well-equipped library acting as an information centre; it provides the students with a wide variety of books and journals to support education, training, and research. JJR College of Education offers two full-time courses , both with a duration of two years. The enrolment capacity for Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El.

Ed) is 50 students each, which means that together, in both the courses, there are 100 seats in the same. These programmes are tailor-made for the candidates aspiring to make their career in the teaching profession by providing them all that is required to pursue a successful expedition. Ed 50 The procedure of admission in the JJR College of Education is established to be transparent and just. Bachelors of Education (B. Ed. ) programme: 80% of intake shall be made on the basis of rank obtained in the Education Common Entrance Test (EDCET) conducted by the state based on merit-A category. 20% of the seats are reserved for NRI and management quota candidates in the B Category.

Similarly, for the programme of D. El. Ed. , 80% of the seats are to be allotted based on merit in the DEECET (Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test); 20% are for NRI and management quota.
