JPE Training College, Thrissur

JPE Training College was started in 1995 at Koorkenchery, Thrissur, Kerala, and it is the largest teacher training College in SID. This college opened its doors for both men and women students and is located in Calicut University. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the College continues to deliver quality teacher education. The college is on a small acreage of 4.

92 acres, hence providing standard education in a confined area to its students. The college owns a variety of amenities that seek to support the learning process of the user’s clientele. The campus has well-facilitated classrooms to ensure that student catch up with their studies, and it is a perfect place.

The information centre can be described as a rich source of literature for students and members of the faculty. The college also boasts of having well-equipped and spacious laboratories relevant to the teaching and learning process. For co-curricular activities, the students can make use of the sports complex and a large hall for functions, seminars, etc.

In order to ensure the health requirements of the students are met, the institution has provided a medical centre that deals with first aid to the students. More so, the college has made great investments in possessing and providing quality IT facilities to complement the students’ learning resources. JPE Training College, located in Koorkenchery, Thrissur, is affiliated with the University of Calicut , Malappuram.

JPE Training College currently offers one main course: This is the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ) programme. This is a two-year full course that leads to the award of a B. Tech in Education and is intended to produce competent teachers.

The college has been given an authorisation for 50 students’ admission for this programme, which shows the college’s focus on offering every student an opportunity to learn in a class set up without compromising the student-teacher ratio. The concentrated model of teaching makes it possible to provide individual attention and excellent education to the students. In the following section, details of the B.

The college also utilises any other method of selection as – as provided by the policies of the state government or the administration of the university.
