Karnataka German Technical Training Institute, Kalaburagi

Karnataka German Technical Training Institute (KGTTI) was established in the year 2011, this institute is in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is offers technical education with specialisation in tool and die making. KGTTI has established its own position in delivering discipline specific technical education and training.

The institute only provides one diploma course but takes 50 students and produces students who are qualified in a particular technical discipline. KGTTI has been equipped with several facilities that make learning convenient and more effective to the students. The college library acts as information centre where students get first hand source of technical journals and other reference materials.

For students who prefer the physical type of activities, the institute has sports amenities to meet this need since it endorses a balanced diet. This means that the college has a good IT system which is commendable to prepare the students with modern technological challenges.

In addition, KGTTI has departmental laboratories which are essential for practical for technical education more specifically tool and die making. The institute's educational offerings are concentrated on a single, specialised course, the Diploma in Tool and Die Making .

This is approved-and-accredited full-time programme which takes three year to complete, which is a testimony to the fact that the institute is committed to providing comprehensive, intensive training in this technical area. Authorised student enrolment is 50 per year, making the learning institution small, which is an advantage because it increases the chances that each learner is given adequate attention on average.

Such a specialisation differentiates KGTTI from more conventional technical institutes where an overall technical knowledge is provided to students, here, instead students are given a special chance to develop mastery in a form of technical expertise that is marketable in today’s world. KGTTI admission process is made for its unique type of programmes.

Since the programme is technical, it is expected that the institute considers the performance of the candidates in relevant subjects offered in the university, and may administer its own test or interview to the candidates.

Since the KGTTI has specialised in tool and die making skill development and as a result of the mentioned factors, the institute provides an opportunity of higher technical education for the students qualified to take up the course. AICTE recognition backed up by the specific amenities and a relevant programme, give KGTTI a strong promise as a relevant contender in the tool and die making field for technicians.
