Karpagam Nursing College is an established college in Coimbatore,Tamil Nadu and was started in the year 2007. This women only college is committed to empower the women through quality nursing education and is an constituent college of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai. Located in a moderate sized area of 10.

2 acres, the college has been newton recognised for its focused educational message of quality nursing education. Each course of the Karpagam Nursing College has been validated with the permission of the INC which means that the courses offered fit the established national curriculum.

The college has a student enrolment of 175 students, and an academic staff of teaching 20 students, to assure a student to teacher ratio that make sure a proper one on one contact. Karpagam Nursing College provides the students with a number of amenities that help create a favourable environment for learning.

The college has an adequate number of books with 3194 volume of books available in college library It has e-journals from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai. Some relevant journals can also be referred for profession. It have well-equipped laboratory for almost all specialties following the norms of INC.

In the interest of students’ welfare, there is a health centre equipped with first aid services. It also provide various sport activities like basketball, volleyball, football courts and other games, staff & students’ canteen, There is an auditorium to hold annual functions, seminars etc.

The institution has hostels for the accommodation of female and male students so that students from various regions get decent accommodation facilities. At present, Karpagam Nursing College is offering only one course, B. Sc Nursing course .

This course takes four years of full time with approved student intake for first year as 100 students, this indicates the college’s stand on quality education as it sharply strives to accommodate a large number of intending nurses. The course structure of B. Sc Nursing is developed to help students obtain adequate theoretical background and practical experience necessary for future professional activity.

The admission criteria of Karpagam Nursing College is highly centralised with certain principles, which are simple and government focused on merit. For admission, most of the nursing colleges keep the performance of the students’ 10+2 examination into consideration especially the science groups.
