KC College of Education, Jammu, is an affiliated college established in 2001 with the primary objective to provide the right path to the future. Set in Paloura, in front of the B. S. F. Campus, this institution occupies just 1 acre of land and aims at preparing dedicated educators.
This moulds the students from KC College of Education to a holistic and a well composed one with 295 students enroled in total and 14 faculties to nurture and train each one of it. The college offers numerous special amenities meant for facilitating the education process and all round development of the students.
A well stacked library is one which caters to the core needs of a knowledge centre- be it for research or for studies. Labs of the college provide student practical experiences, which are very essential in practical experiences in education. To promote health, the campus provides sports facilities and fitness center to enable students balance between their ability to learn and health.
Auditorium comprises various events and seminar convening thus promoting the active academic environment. Student care is also well taken of with a health center available to address first aid needs of the college students. Academic programs of KC College of Education were developed to address the increasing need for education professionals.
The institution provides two full-time courses The two common ones are; The Bachelors of Education (B. ED) and the Masters of Education (M. ED). They both are aimed at providing the necessary knowledge and practical experience that will help a student to succeed in a chosen field – education. The B. Ed serves as the basic learning for anyone wishing to join the teaching profession while the M.
Ed course provides an opportunity for enhanced study for those who wish to further specialise or wishes to a leadership position in academical institution. The college also has a structured admission processes that only allow deserving students based on merit to join their programs at KC College of Education. All the seats available in the B.
Ed course are duly filled through merit List prepared only on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination.
