KDN Mahavidyalaya, Azamgarh

KDN Mahavidyalaya was established in 2014 and is situated in Ubarpur, Lakhamipur, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh as an affiliated college. This was approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and, here, learners can pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Offering a total enrolment of 460 Students and 8 Faculty members KDN Mahavidyalaya offers a personalised learning experience.

There are six courses in the college spread across three programmes, and fields of specialisation include Education, arts, and social sciences. KDN Mahavidyalaya is affiliated with VBSPU Jaunpur . The campus of KDN Mahavidyalaya has been provided with standard facilities so as to support the learning of the campus. The college has a compiled library which contains books of different topics and genres.

A functional and secluded reading area for students allow them to read literature without any distraction. Technology is also considered important by the institution; as a result, all students are taught computer education to enable them to face the world. A generator provides constant source of power for the fans and computers a factor that provides a conducive learning environment.

With regard to students’ physical development, a playground and sporting apparatus are offered in the college to ensure students engage in sporting activities. KDN has a total of six courses of study all which are on full time basis. This has encompasses both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and it cuts across various discipines. It offers one undergraduate course (BA), one diploma course (D. El.

Ed) and four postgraduate courses (MA in Hindi, Sociology, Home Science, Political Science). The D. El. Ed programme having its core area in teacher education has an approved strength of 50 seats. Otherwise, the number of other course and programme seats are undetermined, but the total student enrolment capacity inclusive of all programmes is 460.
