KG College of Physiotherapy, Coimbatore

KG College of Physiotherapy was founded in 1998 and is well known College situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college that occupies a plot of 10 acres of land, has been cultivating young physiotherapists for over 20 years. Total strength of students are 256 and faculty of this college is 23, which give it a concentrated learning atmosphere.

With the focus on each student and his experience in the college, a host of buildings and infrastructure has been developed to facilitate this experience. A knowledge center in the form of a library is used as a learning point, in addition to cluster of laboratories for demonstration. There is a contemporary gym and sports complex on the territory of the campus to support students physically.

In the case of sudden illness, a clinic where first aid equipment is available is provided. The college also has an auditorium to conduct of college functions, seminars etc, thus has an active campus. KG College of Physiotherapy provides a number of courses in the area of physiotherapy.

There are six full-time courses offered at the institute, one being the undergraduate program (BPT), four master’s degree courses (MPT under different disciplines) and an optional doctorate program ( Ph. D. Physiotherapy ). These courses are offered for any level of academic pursuit from the basic knowledge to higher research .

The fundamental course offered by the institute is the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme for the students. At the postgraduate level students can master in Cardio Respiratory Conditions, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Sports Physiotherapy . For students with intentions toward engaging in more research and academic-based positions the Doctor of Physisotherapy is a way to progress in the field.
