KGISL Institute of Information Management, Coimbatore also known as Kongu Vidyashram Institute of Information Management Studies, Coimbatore is an affiliated college situated in Tamil Nadu, India which was started the academic year 2002-2003. Located in a land of 6. 2 acres this is a particular institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The enrolments are currently at 57 student and 24 faculty members. From the Programme Camp, KGISL Institute of Information Management of 2003–04 presents Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme which reflects their concentration on high-tech information technology education.
KGISL Institute of Information Management provides facilities that available in the institute, which have been developed with a view of augmenting the student experience as well as the academic activities of the learning institution. The campus also houses separate hostel facilities for both male and female students to enhance students’ comfort and acquire accommodation from distant areas.
A digital library equipped with multimedia has e-journal and encyclopaedia; addition to this internet facilities for collection search is also provided. The college is aware of the health status of its students by having a health centre that is located in the compound, and also for physical fitness has provided for a gym.
KGISL Institute of Information Management at present provides only one post graduate programme – Master of Computer Applications ( MCA ). This is a two-year full programme and has an approved intake capacity of one hundred and twenty students. MCA course is made in such a way that it provides deeper knowledge and skills in computer applications to face the changing IT world.
Although it mainly caters for this particular programme, it shows that less is more when it comes to the programmes offered by the institute. Admission procedure of KGISL Institute of Information Management in MCA programme is stringent and is based on various factors to select the best and the most suitable and fits students.
