KJ Somaiya College of Physiotherapy was established in 2002 as an affiliate college of one of the primary locations in Mumbai. It has a vast 22. 5-acre campus near Sion, Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra. The campus is spread over 22. 5 acres of land and imparts specialised courses in the area of physiotherapy.

At present, the college enrols a total of 361 students in all courses combined with a faculty strength of 10. The institution provides 6 courses in 3 degree levels. These courses are orientated towards different areas in the field: musculoskeletal science, neurosciences, cardiovascular and respiratory physiotherapy, and community physiotherapy.

The infrastructure of the KJ Somaiya College of Physiotherapy is quite impressive. Courses offered include a 4-year BPT , some 2-year MPT specialisations, and a 6-year Ph. D. in Physiotherapy .

The total intake of all the approved courses together is 127 students. Among the approved courses, the BPT calendar has the maximum intake capacity of 100 students. Though the number is not mentioned for the total pass percentage in the latest year, the college's total intake equates to its intake capacity of 361 students.

KJ Somaiya College of Physiotherapy is a merit-based admissions policy college with a set procedure for admission.
