KLE Societys Law College, Chikodi

KLE Society’s Law College Chikodi was established in the year 1999 Basel the Belagavi district of Karnataka is an affiliated college. It is one of the largest institutions with a campus area of 23. 12 acres and is focused on the providing legal education and is BCI approved.

The college offers two comprehensive law programmes, a three-year LLB and a five-year integrated BA LLB course provided in order to serve the need of the legal fraternity. KLE Society’s law college had a total student enrolment of 426 and a faculty strength at 6 so it has a good student-faculty ratio which means the faculty can give individual attention to each student.

The college has got facilities which would help foster the growth of the student socially, academically, and physically. Central to these is the library – the university’s “Temple of Knowledge” consisting of 7,705 volumes of various literatures, 942 back volumes of journals/reporters included.

At the moment the library pays for 27 periodicals out of which 10 are newspapers, 14 reporters and 13 journals giving the students a lot of material to work on in their field of law. The college also has a computer laboratory with 20 computers that enable the students to practice computer literacy.

For all-round development, it has the provision of different sports and gym, as well as different hostels for boys and girls. The other facilities it boasts of include a college canteen and a well-equipped 250-seater audidon. KLE Society's Law College offers two full-time courses. The two courses that can be offered include the 3-year LLB and the integrated five year BA LLB programmes.

These programmes were intended to equip students with adequate capacity in legal theory as well as practice. KLE society’s law college for the LLB and the BA LLB Integrated programmes follows merit as criteria for admission into the college, affiliated by Karnataka State Law University, Hubli.
