KMCT College of Architecture, Kalanthod

The KMCT College of Architecture, Kalanthode, was set up in the year 2013 at Kozhikode, Kerala, and is an affiliated College. The institute is recognised by the Council of Architecture and provides a course in B. Architecture. For admission, the college provides NATA scores and JEE Main scores for the students to be admitted.

It is a co-educational institution, which means it affords the learners intending to be architects a balance between male and female learners. KMCT College of Architecture is affiliated with Calicut University . KMCT College of Architecture has various amenities to cater for the needs of every student socially, academically, emotionally, physically, etc.

The library is adequately equipped with a tremendous number of textbooks, journals, and numbered references in architecture and other subjects from both domestic and foreign resources. To support practical learning, the college has a Survey Lab outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment like Global Positioning Systems, Total Stations, Theodolites, etc.

These facilities include computer laboratories that contain forty computers in order to enable the students to update themselves with the latest technologies in Architectural designs. A library is also provided for students’ intellectual requirements and learning interests, such as sports facilities for physical exercise, a gymnasium for workouts and an auditorium for holding seminars and other occasions.

As for the course that is offered by KMCT College of Architecture, there is only one option – Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch. ). This full-time course takes five years to complete and has an approved capacity to enrol forty students per year. The B.

Arch course is aimed at familiarising the students with the principles of architecture and the approaches towards the design of the built environment, as well as the tangible abilities needed while practising in this sector. The admission of candidates to the KMCT College of Architecture B. Arch programme is in compliance with the standard set for admission to the first year of B.

Arch in any institution in India as prescribed by the COA. Prior to admission, students must obtain a rank in NATA organised by the COA or any other specially designed aptitude test for architecture under any competent central or state government.
