KMCT College of Architecture, Manassery

Affiliated college, KMCT College of Architecture, Manassery, Kozhikode, Kerala came into existence in 2013. The institute got the approval by the council of architecture and the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE. The college is located in a sprawling 7. 52 acre campus and is currently offering only course in architecture.

The total number of students that are intakes in this college is 132, and the number of faculties 16. For this reason, it is a co-educational institution, which offers chances to male and female students equally. This college aims at producing quality education in the field of architecture so as to prepare its students for the job market within the field.

KMCT College of Architecture has developed various facilities in order to efficiently provide the best learning environment to its students. Separate hostels for boys and girls with necessary facilities in and around the hostels include hygienic food and cleanliness of specific rooms available in the college.

This deputed library provides an enriched collection strategic to architecture and the national and international journals. Amenities of the campus include up to date laboratories, an event and seminar hall, and a staff and students’ cafeteria. To meet the students’ technological requirements, completing more than 40 sophisticated computers with LAN and progressive software programs, there is a modern computer class.

The college also provides sports facilities for games like football and volleyball and the facility for other games such as table tennis, badminton & gymnasium for recognized sports development. Further more, the institute offers transport facilities to and from the institute; health center with first aid facilities; and adequate parking space for the faculty, other staffs and students.

The institute presently has only one course , the Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) which is a full time five year course. The approved intake for this program is forty (40) students per academic year. This has a focused advantages in that the college can channel its effort and manpower in creating a quality educational stream in architecture. Since its establishment, the B.

Arch program at KMCT College of Architecture prepare students to have knowledge on the architectural process, skill on architectural designing and ability in practicing architectural profession. The admission regulations of KMCT College of Architecture entail national level entrance examination.

The institute operates with the score of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture, NATA and the Joint Entrance Examination Main, JEE Main. SATs test students’ ability and relevant skills necessary in architecture courses and programs.
