Kolhapur District Chemist Association’s Institute of Pharmacy, Kolhapur (KDCA IOP) is an independent entity, which was set up in 1980. This relatively young pharmacy college is focused on pharmacy education and located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra The college is PCI approved. Nestled in around 4 acres of space, the institute provides a focused environment for students interested in the study of pharmacy.

The KDCA IOP is a small institution which was established to offer specialised education in the field of pharmacy; on this regard, the institution has a total enrolment of 119 students and 3 faculty members at present. At the institute, a student gets all necessary amenities to ensure enhanced academic performance and personal development.

Though few details about the camps are still unknown, any institute that offers education in pharmacy should have laboratory, library sections having the necessary pharmaceutical and books and the computer section to support the research work. KDCA IOP currently offers one primary course. The Diploma in Pharmacy is more formally known as the D. Pharma. This is a full time programme that takes two years to complete giving the students a strong background of the pharmaceutical sciences. The D. Pharma programme has been structured to enable students acquire practical aspect as well as the theoretical concepts need for different jobs in the pharmacy field.
