Kottai Mariyamman Polytechnic College, Salem, was established in the year 2008, which is an affiliated college. Situated across an area of 5 acres, this AICTE-approved polytechnic offers diploma courses in various fields of engineering. The college has a total enrolment of 577 students and faculty of 60, which makes a healthy student-teacher ratio.

The institution provides six three-year full-time diploma courses for various branches of engineering: mechanical, civil, automobile, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication and computer engineering.
