Krishna Mahavidyalaya, Rethare, affiliated college was established in 1978 located at Rethare Bk, Karad, Maharashtra. The college is NAAC accredited and offers a variety of programmes across disciplines. This institution spreads over a sprawling area of 29. 06 acres and caters to a total strength of 673 students with an almost 2:1 male to female ratio.

The Krishna Mahavidyalaya is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur is also committed to offering a comprehensive learning environment for the students, which makes them equipped with all sorts of conveniences in their all-round development. Separate hostels exist for boys and girls so that students from all parts of India can stay comfortably.

The Institute has a library, which acts as a knowledge hub, and it has INFLIBNET, N-LIST, and OPAC resources that provide acceleration to the teaching-learning process. For the purpose of physical fitness of students, the college possesses gymnasium and sports infrastructure like Kabbadi court and volleyball ground.

There are also well-equipped modern laboratories, wherein equipment is regularly calibrated by both the teaching and non teaching staffs. In addition to these, a health centre with first aid facility and a canteen have been developed in the college in order to cater to the convenience of the students and staffs.

Krishna Mahavidyalaya offers its students 11 courses a full range of academic courses including MA in Hindi and Economics, BA , B. Sc. and phd in Botany and Zoology and Ph. D Botany . Full-time courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce are undertaken by the Institute. In 2021, the college had a total intake of 673 students with 645 undergraduate students and 2 postgraduate students.
