Lakhmiri Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the emerging educational institutions in terms of future, which was established in 2016 at Gopi Nagar, Ahera, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is an affiliated college of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

The institute is running its three diploma programmes in engineering disciplines. The total number of students enrolled in this institute is 51, while faculty strength is 33, which creates a focused learning environment. The college is co-educational and allows students from different backgrounds to pursue their dreams of technical education.

Lakhmiri Institute of Engineering and Technology has visualised an organisational framework of two diploma courses . At present, it conducts a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60 seats and a Diploma in Mechanical Production Engineering with 30 seats. These initiatives are undertaken in order that they equip the students adequately with theory as well as practical skills in a contemporary industrial scenario.

The total approved intake for these courses amounts to 90 students. This reflects the student nursery capacity of the institute. Candidates aspiring to join the institution for its diploma courses are required to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination for Diploma Level Courses, conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh ( JEECUP ), Lucknow. The entrance examination is the major selection process for the aspiring candidates.
