LB Rao Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Khambhat

LB Rao Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (LBRIPER) was established in 2004 in Khambhat, Gujarat. It is an affiliated college that comes under the purview of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It is a specialized college in the arena of pharmaceutical education. Constructed on a well-planned 82-acre campus, candidates who pursue courses in this college can have a very focused learning environment.

The total student intake of the institute is presently 91, and it has a faculty strength of 13, maintaining a favorable student-to-teacher ratio. LBRIPER is a co-education institution in which male and female candidates can get their pharmaceutical studies under equal opportunity and all-inclusive environment. In LBRIPER, there are advanced facilities that encourage the learning of the students.

The institute provides hostel facilities separately for boys and girls, further divided into undergraduate and postgraduate accommodation. It is one of the knowledge hubs that consist of a big collection of textbooks, reference materials, and e-journal facilities to fulfill the academic requirements of students besides the facility for faculty members.

LBRIPER also has its cricket, volleyball, and football playgrounds besides its indoor game facilities and gym facilities on campus for keeping fit physically. The state-of-the-art equipment available in its laboratories include Rotary tablet machines, Ampoule, Capsule, and Ointment filling machines in the Centralized Lab. The program supports hands-on experience in actual pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Presently, LBRIPER runs a single flagship course, the Bachelor of Pharmacy ( B. Pharma ). This full-time undergraduate program is of four years duration and forms the core of the academic offerings by the institute. The B. Pharma program drew a sanctioned intake of 60 students, which indeed provides relatively good opportunities for enrollment. The admission process in LBRIPER to the B.
