The main library has several books and journals, and there are books of different specialisations in the digital library having internet facilities. This is especially true with regard to sports and games, which can be essentially both indoor and outdoor and cultural activities.

The largest component of the students’ capacity is the Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery ( BUMS ) programme that is basically practiced in Muslim countries. Currently, at postgraduate level, the college offers specialised courses in Moalajat (internal medicine) and Niswan Wa Qabalat (obstetrics and gynaecology) at Neelum Valley University, AJ&K.
Most of the time, the management of Luqman Unani Medical College Hospital and Research Centre follows the merit system in admission. Regarding the admission in the BUMS programme the institute follows NEET and over all merit. The candidates seeking admission to MD Moalajat are required to sit for AIAPGET and have a merit list.
Admission into the roll of MS Niswan Wa Qabalat also occurs under the merit system, more so for those joining under the management quota.
