Mahajubilee Training College, Mulloorkara

Mahajubilee Training College of teacher education is situated at Mulloorkara, Thrissur, Kerala and is one of the most reputed institutions in the state. This affiliated college was established in 2002 and has been producing education professionals for more than twenty years now. The college is NAAC accredited and is affiliated to NCTE that checks the quality of the educational systems.

Mahajubilee Training College is located on 7 acres of land; the college has only two professional courses in education for one hundred students with eleven faculties. The careful balance the college has stayed true to while nurturing learning ensures that it contains specific teacher training programmes.

Some of the facilities available in Mahajubilee Training College have been established to supporting the learning process of the students. Among these, the most effective is the fully automated library containing 5830 books, 907 of which are new books costing more than two lakhs. The library also has purchased about 30 journals, numerous periodicals and dailies to assist the students in accessing these resources.

The college has IT-Computing resource centre with computerise lab having 32 computer and 200 educational CDs for more communication facility of the students in modern education technology. Thus, for training practical, the institution has put in place well equipped laboratories with the modern equipments.

Other facilities include an auditorium for assemblies, seminars etc, a play and sports grounds for physical exercises, a cafeteria for client’s foods and drinks, and a health centre with first aid services for health issues all in the college compound. Mahajubilee Training College has only two full time courses related to education for both bachelor’s and masters degree.

The award of both courses is divided into equal two years, so that the students gain all theoretical and practical knowledge concerning education. The fact that the college offers only two specialised programmes enable the college to channel a lot of resources in preparing competent teachers to penetrate the education sector.
