Maharana Pratap TT College, Kota

Maharana Pratap TT College was started in 2006 in Kota, Rajasthan and is a co-educational college which is represents the future of the teaching fraternity. This affiliated college is situated in the city of Kota in Rajasthan; it is one of the most promising colleges which specialises in teacher education.

Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides a variety of programmes to create effective and committed teachers. At present, there are 204 students studying and 16 faculty members in Maharana Pratap TT College that thus creates a specialised educational environment for people who aim to become teachers.

Maharana Pratap TT College has many amenities which are aimed at improving learning environment and outcomes of the college students. This two-year course provides depository of essential skills and content the learner needs in pursuit of a vocation in teaching. For students who wish to further their training qualifications, the college offers a two year Master of Education (M. Ed. ) programme. In addition, the Diploma in Education (D. Ed) course also provides a chance in the teaching profession.

These all are planned systematically programme to make the best stakeholders in educational field where theoretical knowledge, practical teaching experience both are integrated for making well prepped educators. Maharana Pratap TT College has developed the admission process to enrol the most qualified students into its programmes. The admission process for the B.

Ed programme is done through Pre Teacher Education Test ( PTET ) which is conducted by the government of Rajasthan for admission to all the B. Ed colleges in Rajasthan. This way it is guaranteed that those who get into the programme are qualified and interested in the course. In the case of the M. Ed and D.

Ed programmes, the admission process being merit based and it takes into account the marks in the qualifying examination and or entrance tests as per the rules and regulation framed by the state government and the university to which the college is affiliated to.

Such an approach in determining the admissions is comprehensive and was due to the fact that the college ensured that they promoted a higher standard of learning as well as a higher standard of education in the teaching practice.
