Affiliated Manair College of Law, Khammam, was established in 1990 and situated in Telangana, India. Run with the permission of the Bar Council of India (BCI), this college is co-educational and provides specialised legal education on colonial-era land. The college currently offers education to 402 learners and has a faculty member with ten individuals.
Manair College of Law provides three programmes: Successful applicants will be joining our schools of LLB and LLM to help create the legal practitioners of the future. The institute is quality-conscious and aims at preparing the student to meet the challenges of the legal profession. Manair College of Law has myriad facilities to support the academic possibilities for students enrolled in the college.
A well-equipped library that is provided with national law journals and a technological section is a boon for the research work. College has moot court also that enables students to practise their advocacy skills in a court setting. Computers and Internet connectivity, as well as the Internet, provide for the digital needs of the student populace.
To augment the students’ integrated development, the college contains sports facilities and an auditorium for programmes and conventions. A cafeteria, a medical facility with first aid, and comfortable state-of-the-art classrooms with all necessary technologies enhance a spacious learning environment.
The Training and Placement Cell assumes the roles of coordinator of campus interviews and providing career guidance for the students. Manair College of Law offers three full-time courses : The courses include a 3-year programme with 180 seats for the LLB and a 2-year programme with 20 seats for the LLM . The approved intake for all the courses is one hundred and ninety-two students.
These programmes are intended to deliver the fundamentals of law that students need to enter the legal employment market. The college also pursues traditions of both teaching theories and passing practical experience to make graduates prepared for a legal environment. Manair College of Law accepts students through examinations and other placements.
To apply for the LLB programme, the candidates must pass the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) of the respective academic year. The admissions are open only for the merit obtained in the entrance examination, following the rules for statutory reservation of seats for different categories.
For instance, 20% of overall qualified candidates can be taken during the institutional level or ‘B’ category admission. Several students use their scores on the TS LAWCET exam to enter the college, and this is one of the most popular tests in the state regarding law admissions.
It is unclear whether there is special scholarship information for each of the students; however, the college most probably provides support to successful learners.
